Pricing model
Pay for what you record, not for every person you hire.
Per-seat pricing assumes a warehouse worker who signs in twice a week costs the same to serve as a buyer who raises fifty orders a month. That is not true, and it punishes a company for growing. NXTA meters the work.
A free allowance on every meter
A small shop can run a real month inside the allowances. If a line is below its allowance it is zero, not a minimum charge.
Rates fall as usage grows
Each meter has ascending bands. The first band applies until it is exhausted, then the next, so growth is rewarded rather than penalized.
One invoice, no lock-in
The month closes on the 1st, one invoice per company, 14-day terms, card or bank transfer. No annual commitment.
What counts as one unit
The unit is deliberately concrete. A meter that cannot be explained in one sentence cannot be trusted on an invoice.
| Meter | What counts as one unit |
|---|---|
| Active employees | One account that can sign in. A terminated or suspended account stops counting. |
| Punches recorded | One clock-in row. Clocking out updates the same row, so a full shift is one unit. |
| Stored items | One item with stock on hand. An emptied item stops counting. |
| Purchase orders | One purchase order raised in the month. |
| Customer invoices | One customer invoice raised in the month. |
| Active projects | One project open at month-end. Archiving removes it from the count; history stays readable. |
| Tasks opened | One task created in the month. Moving, commenting or closing it is free. |
| Shifts scheduled | One published shift for a day in the month. A cancellation is not counted. |
| Deals won | One opportunity moved to Won. Open deals cost nothing. |
| Documents uploaded | One file uploaded in the month. Reading and downloading are free. |
A worked month
A 50-person manufacturer or distributor: 1,050 punches, 300 stored items, eight active projects, 400 tasks, and the rest inside the allowance.
- Active employees — 50$144.00
- Punches — 1,050$33.53
- Stored items — 300$2.25
- Active projects — 8$37.50
- Tasks opened — 400$0.90
- Total$218.18

Why this is fairer
- A company is not charged for people who cannot sign in.
- A seasonal peak is billed in the month it happens, not for a year.
- A large catalogue pays for the catalogue; a small one does not subsidize it.
- Every invoice line can be read back to the rows behind it.
- Deleting data before the close does not erase the month.
The obvious questions
- Is this just per-seat pricing with extra steps?
- No. Employees are one meter with ten included free, and people who cannot sign in do not count. A distributor also pays for stock, orders and invoices — resources that a per-seat model ignores entirely. A 200-seat company with a small catalogue pays more under per-seat pricing; a 20-seat company with a large catalogue may pay more here. The point is that the bill follows the resource, not the org chart.
- What happens if I go over an allowance?
- The excess is billed at the published band rate for that meter. Bands are graduated: the first band applies until it is exhausted, then the next, so the top rate never applies to the first unit.
- What does the first year cover?
- All of it. The twelve months start at your first sign-in, need no card, and issue no invoice. Meters still count and the normal allowances apply, so you can see what the workspace would cost at the end. The first invoice covers the first full month after the free year, with no catch-up charge.
- Can I forecast the bill?
- Yes, from your own usage. The price list shows every band and your first year counts what you actually record, so you can see the arithmetic before it is ever charged. A calculator is on the way; until then, write to us with your counts and we will do the arithmetic with you.
- Do you charge for reading or reporting?
- No. Reading, exporting and reporting are free. You are billed for the resource a meter names, not for looking at it.
- Is there a minimum term?
- No annual lock-in. The month is invoiced at the close for the usage it recorded, on 14-day terms, by card or bank transfer.
- What about a tenant that deletes everything before the close?
- The billable figure is the greater of the live count, the sampled peak and a write-time counter. Deleting rows on the last day does not reset the month.
